Research On Uighur Status Of National Identity In Lu Keqin Town Of Shanshan County In Xinjiang

With the wave of globalization, China is facing severe challenges posed byglobalization, to make our country stand firmly among the nation in the world,weshould establish the sense of national identity.Since Uighur history and reality hasmany shocks, the change of their national identity is quiet obvious among otherethnic minorities.Under the new situation, Uighur previous national identity, ethnicgroup identity and religious identity also received a great challenge. Depending onhow the characteristics and needs of minority status to strengthen the sense ofnational identity and social stability is the primary content of the current work.Therefore, this thesis Uighur minorities as research subjects question of nationalidentity.The research for reference of the Uighur national identity in Lu keqin town ofshanshan county in Xinjiang, which has certain representativeness.May2013andMarch2014, I was in the town Lu keqin about national identity as the main contentof the field research, targeted local Uighur case-issuing questionnaires and interviews,and survey data are summarized and statistics.This article is based on thisaccomplished.Articles in the original survey data as the basis for comparative analysis as themain means of which the characteristics of the respondents reflected the sense ofnational identity and elaborate summarize and analyze all aspects of its reasons forthe formation of the following conclusions: Uighur people of the town generally astrong sense of national identity, while religious identity is also deeply rooted in thepsychology of civilians.Due to the economic situation of poor families under Islamic influence andimpact of social networks and media awareness of some of the local Uighur, nationalidentity is still in the lower levels, lack of confidence in the country, religious peopleare more accustomed to teaching religious rules to analyze and solve the problem.Finally, the author proposes a number of measures to strengthen the Uighurs bynational sense of identity.For the problems above I have added some thoughts about how to strengthen thesense of national identity of Uighur’s in this town:(1) to further improve theimplementation of the national policy to safeguard the legitimate interests of allpeoples.(2) the mobilization of economic development, and promote the industrial development of the national culture.(3) forming a harmonious ethnic relations.(4)strengthen patriotic education to strengthen the sense of national identity.
