Geometry is an important subject, it can cultivate students’mathematical thinking.Promote the development of students’geometry thinking is the basic requirement of curriculum standard.In order to further investigate present situation of thedevelopment of students’ geometry thinking as well as the influencefactors under the background of new curriculum,this study basedon the southeast of Guizhou,questionnaire test, the questionnairesurvey,interview research and statistical analysis by combiningthese research methods,to analysis and comparison of dong and hanhigh school students’ geometry thinking.The main researchconclusions are as follows:1.From the perspective of the test results of geometricalthinking level, the average geometric thinking level of the dongstudents is lower than the han nationality students in the samegrade,the average geometric thinking level of the students inincreasing trend with the increase of grade.2.From the perspective of the comparison of geometrical thinkinglevel differences,dong and han students of geometrical thinkinglevel have ethnic differences at seventh and eighth grade, dong and han nationality students of geometrical thinking level is nonational differences at ninth grade. geometrical thinking levelof Dong and han junior high school students is no gender difference.3.The main factors influencing the students’ geometry thinkinglevel are: Parents or students’ attitude towards geometryknowledge, whether to observe the life geometry,Your attitudetowards life geometry knowledge,habit of geometry thinking andreading geometrical topics, after long time cannot answer geometryproblem, whether to the check, think about other methods,expandthe title after solve the problem.Language factors affected dongstudents ’ the geometrical thinking level is Chinese level of dongstudents, The difficulty of learning geometry knowledge caused bydong language, language thinking habits of dong students.On this basis, This study have gave the countermeasures abouthow to improve dong and han students geometry thinking ability.
