With the entering of probability to the high school curriculum, the relatedresearch of probability also becoming increasingly urgent, whether the study of thestudent to learn the concept of cognitive characteristics,or the probability isintroduced and present in high school in curriculum itself has a broad space forexploration. We know that learning situation analysis is an important part of teaching, only really understand the current situation of students’ learning probability, can moreeffectively to carry out in the teaching work. This study refer to a large amount ofliterature and on the basis of serious thinking, forming a framework for the analysis ofhigh school students in the theoretical probability of cognitive levels, using testinvestigation and case interviews to understand the method of combining theprobability of cognitive status of students. On the basis of the descriptionstatistics, based on SOLO taxonomy analysis of probability and the cognitivecharacteristics of senior high school students, and the probability of high schoolstudents cognitive differences.Through the investigation and analysis, giving the mainfollowing conclusions:(1) Overall, most of the high school students cognitive level in the medium level, basically reached a "curriculum standards" requirement, part of the students’ cognitivelevel needs to be improved;(2) Specifically, the high school students to the event judge,Classical probabilitymodel generally have a high level of cognition, opportunity can not be quantified, thepossibility of cognitive biases and simply composite method are common mistakes;high school students on the frequency definition,Geometric probability model have alow level of cognitive, students have a lot of misunderstandings on the relationshipbetween the probability and frequency, and subjective method the prediction methodare common mistakes;(3) In addition, there is a positive correlation between test scores of the probabil-ity cognitive level of high school students and their mathematics results; Differentgrades of high school students, the admitted students exist significant differences in probability cognitive levels; Different sexes of high school students have nosignificant differences in probability cognitive levels.Based on the probability cognitive status quo of high school, giving the followingadvice:(1) Deepening teachers’understanding about probability content specific objecti-ves in“curriculum standards”,overall grasping probability teaching requirements in“curriculum standards”;(2) Focusing on the students’ cognitive characteristics, reforming the probabilityteaching strategies;(3) Paying attention to the concept’explaining, deepening students’ understand-ing;(4) Clarifying the probability of students cognitive confusions, so that the studentset up the correct cognition of probability;(5) Increasing hands-on experiments and computer simulations, improving theircognitive ability of probability;(6) The overall understanding of probability completes the cognitive structure;(7) Finding problems and solving them timely, eliminating cognitive confusions;(8) Using Annotations Learning method to improve the cognitive levels.
