This study analyzed the characteristics of hip and knee muscles strength during flexionand extension and the correlations between them in the eccentric contraction mode. With themethods of literature review, experimentation and mathematical statistics, the paper provideda reference and a theoretical foundation for the practice of sports medicine, clinical medicineand rehabilitation medicine. At the30°/s,60°/s and90°/s speeds, the study focused on10healthy adults, and used the German ISOMED2000isokinetic test equipment to test hip andknee flexor and extensor muscles strength in the eccentric contraction mode. The results wereapplied to perform statistical analysis. In addition, this study analyzed the differences andcharacteristics isokinetic test indicators between hip and knee muscle groups of normalhealthy adults at different angular speeds. The correlations between knee-joint and hip-jointmuscles were also conducted by means of mathematical statistics in this study. This studytried to find the characteristics between the flexor and extensor muscles strength and thecorrelations between hip and knee muscle groups by analyzing isokinetic test indicators. It isdesigned to further evaluate the mechanics characteristics of hip and knee muscle groupsobjectively. Based on this, the study attempted to lay a foundation for setting up theevaluation criterion of hip and knee muscles strength of healthy adults and also contributed tothe variety of basic studies on the characteristics of muscles strength of healthy people in ourcountry. In the eccentric contraction mode, the single factor variance analysis was used forisokinetic test indicators of hip and knee flexors and extensors. The final conclusion is:(1)In the eccentric contraction mode, the maximum torque, unit weight of maximum torque, maximum work, total work, average work, maximum power and average power of hip andknee flexors are greater than extensors under the same condition of angular speed.(2)In theeccentric contraction mode, compared with the knee-joint, the various indicators of thehip-joint flexors and extensors have significant differences with angular speed increasing.(3)In the eccentric contraction mode, all of the indicators of flexors and extensors of kneemuscle groups are highly linearly correlated at the different angular speed. Most indicators ofhip flexors are linearly correlated.(4)In the eccentric contraction mode, all of the indicatorsof hip and knee flexors are linearly correlated at the angular speed of60°/s and90°/srespectively. Selected indicators of hip and knee flexors are linearly correlated at the angularspeed of30°/s. The various indicators of hip and knee extensors are not linearly correlatedunder the same condition of angular speed.According to the results, it is suggested that:1. More than a few angular speed measurements should be tested so as to further study the muscles strength characteristics andcorrelations of hip and knee muscle groups in the eccentric contraction mode.2. The resultsachieved in this study are the indicators of hip and knee muscles strength during flexion andextension of normal healthy adults, which can be used as the basis of selecting talent athletesaccording to the requirements of different special in sports, and providing evidence for theselection of specific training methods for sports.
