“Beautiful China”proposed in the18th National Congress of the Communist Party ofChina should be constructed to make mountains green, people wealthy and cultures active soas to create a world-level high quality audio-visual feast for the purpose of displaying themost terrific China in front of the world. The construction of “beautiful China” can’t beisolated from the beauty of people.“Beautiful life” is the humanistic basis of “beautifulChina”, while it can’t be separated from the beauty of a special population, namely, universitystudents.From the viewpoint of “beautiful life”, this paper deeply explores intrinsic elements andexternal manifestations of university students’“beautiful life”. By analyzing existingproblems’ with university students’ outlooks on life based on the Chinese dream anduniversity students’ pursuit of dreams, it proposes the urgency of education about “beautifullife” for university students. At last, approaches to ideological and political education foruniversity students are explored, in hope that university students may develop positiveattitudes toward life, noble life goals, correct outlook on life and healthy life ideals, in orderthat all of them may lead a bright life, shining with the glow of youth, and “beautiful China”may imply outstanding humanistic characteristics owing to university students’ beautiful life.This paper is mainly divided into six parts. Chapter1is introduction, in which basis oftopic selection, domestic and foreign research status as well as research significance andmethods are introduced. Chapter focuses on illustrating connotations and humanisticfoundations of “beautiful China” and “beautiful life”. Primarily discussing intrinsic elementsand external manifestations of beautiful life, Chapter3depicts coherence between educationabout beautiful life and ideological&political education. In Chapter4, university students’problems with life on the basis of results of questionnaires are analyzed, including problemand cause analysis. In Chapter5, approaches to ideological and political education about beautiful life are explored, mainly including embedded, dominant, mentorship, responsibleand collaborative approaches. Titled as realization of university students’ beautiful life andbeautiful China, Chapter6sums up that these students’ beautiful life is in good agreementwith beautiful China.
