Long jump is a sport with a long history, it gathers speed, strength, coordination, balance, and the appreciation of the beauty and a suit. Also has a long history tradition. In the progress of science and technology high speed development today, the athletes to performance requirements are higher, constantly promote reform of the long jump technology, continuous exploration and pursuit of better run-up technology, can improve the long jump, promote the development of long jump movement and move forward.This article through the literature material law, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics, data analysis, expert interviews and other methods, constantly at home and abroad and browse the famous long jump articles of literature, collecting and long jump athlete of long jump run-up, take-off related information and the data were analyzed. Through to the domestic excellent long jump athletes and hubei region utilization rate of approach speed in long jump run-up speed and comparative analysis of the two aspects as arguments to the scope of this article finally concluded that utilization of approach speed in most conclusions of technology, research meaning and existing problems of the argument.
