Utilization rate of run-up speed of pole-vaulting sports can better reflect utilization level of pole-holding absolute speed of pole-vaulter.When the above run-up-speed utilization rate comes to the specific range,pole-vaulter will be more likely to achieve good performance.If the index does not fall into the range,it will be not beneficial toperformance of pole-vaulter.By literatures a large number of literatures,no one seems to study this field.So,with combination of literature review method,video capture and analytical method,on-site test method,statistical method and comparative analysis method,by taking the above-mentioned run-up-speed utilization rate as study object,it made a series of analysis on the referred ranges of the utilization rates with regard to domestic pole-vaulters with different genders and levels for providing a wide of pole-vault coaches a certain references in practical run-up speed trainings.The main results of this paper are shown as follows.1.With comparison of final four-step run-up body-gravity speed,our male and female pole vaulters are all ternational-master-class ones with the highest speed.Master-class pole-vaulters take second place.And first-class ones have the lowest speed.But,there is still a certain gap with the foreign excellent counterparts.Viewed from run-up body-gravity speed,male international-master-class pole-vaulters have apparent disparities with the counterparts other two classes.Besides that,there have obvious disparities among the female pole-vaulters with different three classes in run-up body-gravity speed.However,through a series of pair-wise comparisons,it's found that the gap between the international-master-class pole-vaulters and the master-class ones is smaller than that between the master-class pole-vaulters and the first-class ones.2.Our male and female international-master-class pole-vaulters generally present steadily and gradually decreasing trends in final four-step step-length change.However,both the international-master-class group and the first-class group don't present the above trends but large fluctuations as a whole.Notably,among our male and female pole vaulters,the international-master-class group shows the highest final four-step frequency.The master-class group is closely followed.And the first-class group has the slowest one.But comparing with the male and female athletes with top twelve places in 2015 athletics world championship,the differences are more obvious.3.In pole-holding absolute speed,our male and female international-master-class pole-vaulters have much higher performances comparing with the master-class and first-class groups.And there is no obvious statistic difference between the master-class and first-class groups in pole-holding absolute speed.4.Statistically,as for the scopes of run-up-speed utilization rate,our male international-master-class,master-class and first-class pole-vaulters can reach 91.8%-93.8%,86.3%-91.1% and 83.6%-88.8% separately.And the counterparts with the three classes can achieve 86.2%-89.0%,83.0%-88.2% and 81.8%-84.4% respectively.When different athletes cross the same height,the utilization rate of run-up speed is in the corresponding range.
