Procrastination refers to an explicit or implicit activity completed at the start or when to postpone the implementation.Procrastination means the target task cannot be completed in the last period, or the target task before the deadline has just started. In the view of a psychologist, a certain extent of delay is just a lazy habits, which is a common weakness of human nature. But when the delay to exist for a long time affects the personal emotions, such as strong self blame, guilt and self denial, accompanied by anxiety and compulsion, it may mean that you have to stall the mire. Procrastination becomes inertia, just like the dandelion, roots so deep, to unplug quickly grow. Delay always affect our study and life, so how to completely unplug delay the root? This needs us to study it, to understand the delay associated with what and why and its underlying psychological mechanism, so that we can put forward effective measures, for its intervention, so that suffering delays in people suffering from the sea.In daily life, there are more or less procrastination problems of every person, and thus delay the best time to do things which is so annoying, but not an effective way to change the procrastination behavior of their own. The reason is that people do not understand what is the mechanism behind procrastination behavior.The purpose of this study is to investigate the inhibition from cognitive angle to explain the mental mechanism of procrastination, through respectively for the subjects who completed the Stroop task response time and delay behavior of high and low grouping related to find the connotation of procrastination psychological mechanism. Study2(Stroop task:interference effect, promoting effect) x2(procrastination:high score, low packet) to design the experiment. In the first grade60students as subjects. The DMXM record high school students to complete the Stroop task response time.The experimental results show that:(1) In Aitken procrastination scale scores the students in Aitken procrastination questionnaire score, i.e. primary school students are less prone to procrastination;(2) Students and low delay high delay students have significant differences on semantic interference;(3) Students and low delay students high delay no significant differences in color interference.
