Many students complain that they have difficulty in English writing. Alot of teachers say they don t have a good way to instruct English writing.Although there are a great many theories about English writing, they stillcannot meet the needs of students and teachers.The research is based on Krashen s input theory, language learningtheory of Behaviorism, theory of memory and chunking. The researchercarefully selects the reciting materials and strictly controls the irrelevantfactors. There is a pair of parallel classes.One is Experiment class(EG), andthe other is Control class(CG).Each class will be divided into groupsaccording to their performance of English. Then the research will compare thescores of two classes and different groups to prove the following questions:1. Is the recitation input a good way to improve the writing ability?2. Does the recitation have an equal effectiveness on students of differentwriting levels?The research lasts for15weeks, and the results show:1. Recitation can boost the writing ability of students, especially ingrammar, spelling, use of word, paragraph and genre on so on.2. The study also finds that method of recitation has differenteffectiveness on different writing levels. The students of middle level benefitmost from recitation. The other two groups didn t make too much progressafter the experiment. The study further reveals that teacher should choosedifferent teaching methods to cater for the characteristics of studentsLast, due to the limitation of the study, there are still much need to bedone to improve the study.
