| Since the end of1980s, the gambling industry has been rapidly developing allaround the world. China issued its first lottery in1987, and the market sales of currentyear was17million RMB; from the datum of <La Fleurs’s2013World LotteryAlmanac>, the whole sales of welfare lottery and sport lottery has achieved to20.4and17.5billion dollars respectively, in2012, which ranked the2ed and3rdplacearound the world (except the district of Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan).Besides of the prosperous of lottery industry in china, what we should takeattention to is the negative affection from it, especially the numerous problemgamblers. They can also influence negatively10to17persons which include theirfriends and relatives to increase the social cost like low efficiency of work/civiljudicature/criminal judicature/medical cost and social security and so on.Meta-analysis is a technique for combining the results of many experiments toassess prevalence rates for diseases in qualitative and quantitative research, integrallyand systematically, which have been extensively used in psychology, medicine,pedagogy and management. However in problem gambling area, Meta-analysis is stillin a fledging period in western developed counties and not to speak of studies inChina. Objective: In current study, advantages and particularity of MI whencompared to other interventions was discussed. Method: With Revman5.0, a total30experiments was subjected to a Meta analyses with Revman5.2. Results: The totalheterogeneity was not statistically significant with I2=11%,p=0.39＞0.01, and test foroverall effect indicate that0.53，z=10.83，p＜0.00001. MI was robust through theanalyses of publication bias. Conclusion: Relying on the results of relevant studies,we can improve the disadvantages revealed in effectiveness of MI for problemgambling, while provide reliable primary data for the establishment of the institutionof protecting and salvation in problem gambling in the future. |
