Erich Fromm, an most important figure in Western thinking public, proposed that in the capitalist society where social and human are double aliened. And Fromm has ever shown great concern with education. In his view, education is also aliened. The discussion of theory on education alienation can be found almost everywhere in his famous books which include the missing of freedom, love and creativity. For the alienation theory, Fromm considered that the capitalist society and the people have the need of reform in order to achieve salvation. And he believed that the "new man" needs educational reform, therefore, education played an important role in the salvation which became the new access and the only way to a sane society. This study includes four chapters.The first chapter outlines the ideological source of Fromm and the current status of research.Chapter 2 focuses on Fromm's theory of education which discussed from three aspects,social alienation, human alienation, alienation of education.Chapter 3 focuses on the theory of Fromm about the salvation of education. Educational reform should based on the reform of society to achieve the new man and the sane society.In chapter 4, based on Fromm's educational theory, contact with the development trend of education reform in current world, Fromm's theories of survival of education, liberal education, love of education and creative education have significance and the great inspiration to today's education reform of our country.
