Courses for ideological and political education, required for middle school students, servefor disciplining daily behavior and rectifying thinking as well as attitude. They allow studentsto develop correct views of the world, life and value. Combining this education with Weibo tocreate a new educational platform, which utilizes the swift and wide propagation of Weibo tostrengthen the education’s influence on students, is an important measure for improving theeffect of the education in a new media environment. This article attempts to develop such aplatform for the ideological and political education by discussing three specific workingstrategies in this regard, and strengthening the rationality and effectiveness of the educationalwork.Firstly, the discussion will be on promoting the public credibility of Weibo, creating adesirable educational atmosphere, elevating the public awareness level and influence ofWeibo by its official authentication, charactering Weibo administrators’ figure as mentors andgood friends in real life, administrators’ propagation of Weibo account as well as optimizationof the articles in Weibo, etc., thus achieving the goal of smooth carrying on of the educationalwork.Secondly, starting from the acceptability of strengthening ideological and philosophicaleducation using Weibo, the discussion will be on the linguistic art of the articles in Weibo,aiming for staying close to the audience, solidifying the content, improving communicationskills, and utilizing humor. Considering the cultural background of the students born in90sand00s, attempt is made to explore how to enable students to agreeably accept the content ofthe education from Weibo, and improve themselves through the guidance of the articles in theWeibo. Lastly, discussion is made on the issue of timely interaction of Weibo, including how todefine timeliness, how to effectively seize the right timing and swiftness of weibo interaction,how to master information classification thus improving efficacy and ensuring the quality ofthe articles, and how to appreciate the students’ thinking dynamics through their Weiboaccounts, in an attempt for a better risk control and mitigation for any abnormal behavior,realizing the working strategy of utilizing the timely interaction of Weibo.
