"Lin Daiyu’s Entered Jia Manor":the Outline Of Surroundings And Characters Of Rong Mansion

This paper aims to uncover the importance of "Lin Daiyu Entered Jia Manor", a classic chapter of A Dream in Red Mansions in high school Chinese textbook, by analysing the crucial function of the surroundings, which has been neglected by secondary vocational schools, while the descriptions of the main characters are focuses.The first part concentrates on the typical surroundings of Jia Manor, which includes not only the numerous architectural patterns of the housing and different layouts of furnishings, but also the complicated relationships between the members in this big noble family, and the initiate contradiction behind the characters.Then the paper shows the traits of three main characters, which functions as an outline. In the fourth part of this thesis, the contradictions hiding behind the text are exposed by the method of comparison and of contradiction analysis as to unfold the complicated relationships and hidden disputes under the typical surroundings.In the last part of the thesis, a conclusion about the technique of expressions is made, the purpose of which is to improve the teaching quality of reading Chinese in secondary vocational schools in the future by resolving the classic text in such schools.
