Research On The Scientization Of College Counselors’ Work In New Period

Along with the development of economic globalization, integration of the world, andfurther reform in China, college students have been suffering from constant impacts ofdiversification, which brings about new opportunities and challenges for college students’ideological and political education. Counselors are educators, administrators and serviceproviders of college students, to carry out research on scientization of college counselors’work, and to establish a set of working system based on the scientific outlook of developmentis a new and important subject. Under this circumstance, this thesis analyzes and explains theinternal and external environment in the new period, problems existed and possible solutionsof the scientification of counselors’ work, and seeks to enrich the theories in the work ofcollege counselors continuously, promoting the development of practice.This thesis analyzes and summarize the connotation of scientization of counselors’ workand to clear the objectives of scientization of counselors’ work.Integrate the changes in theenvironment and the situation of higher education, the characteristics of college students, andthe training objectives for college students in the new period, analyzes and explains theopportunities and challenges for the work of college counselors in new period. Based on thecurrent situation of counselors’ work, summarizes the problems existed in the scientization ofcounselors’ work, analyzes the reasons for the problems in three dimensions-society,colleges, and counselors.According to the problems existed in the scientization of counselors’ work,the thesis mainlyexplains in four parts, establishing scientific guiding ideology, strengthening the constructionof counselors’ team, innovating the working method of counselors, the professionalization andspecialization of counselors.Finally the thesis mainly explicates the content and body of theevaluation, using systematic evaluation criteria to conduct scientific evaluation.
