Since the 18 th National Congress of Communist Party of China(CPC), the CPC attaches great importance to cultivate and practice the core socialist values. Nurture and practice the core socialist values are strategic tasks to promote the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese dream. ContemporaryCollege students as knowledgeable, educated socialist successors, they carry the hope of the motherland future, carrying the great rejuvenation of the historic mission. This group is in a critical period of life, values, world view formed, their ideas tend to shape, but still has great plasticity; their ability to accept new things strong, but obviously lacks discernment. The monographic studies on college students’ values, Value Orientation and how to input the core values of socialism with Chinese characteristics to them have become a top priority research topics of great significance under the socialist core value system.Firstly, through the interpretation of related concepts of the core socialist values, and distinguished the concept which is easy to be confused with the core socialist values, In order to explain the core socialist values are the core values of the other, and focus on the comparison with west core values, described that the socialist core values are the inheritance and transformation values of the Western, and it is the core value that consistent with requirements of the development of the times, all these can describe what the connotation of core values and socialist core values should be.Secondly, do targeted questionnaire in the students of Chengdu University of Technology, analyze the status of college students’ values, then find the reasons for the formation of their values and the factors in the process of the values formation, ultimately, we should take the socialist core values to guide the values formation of college students, let the core values of them meet the society requirements.Finally, through the above analysis, we determine how contemporary universities should do in ideological and political education, other courses, social practice and combined with college students living and learning spaces and other aspects to strengthen the input of students’ socialism core values, let the socialist core values into the brain and heart of them, as a socialist successors so that they play a leading role, foster qualified socialist successors to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In short, today’s competition between nations, no longer fully competitive in the economic field, the competition in ideological penetration is more than it in the economic sphere sometimes.And college students as a socialist successors, if they do not have the right core values, will affect the entire society. Therefore, strengthen the cultivation of students’ socialism core values is the top priority of higher education, all these can help them achieve correct values, core values, and make them play a guiding role on the job and family education in their own words and deeds after entering the community,transfer positive energy,to achieve the historic mission about the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
