Folk sports is the basis of modern sports, supplement, but in recent years, because of the influence of bring economic diversity of city, the influence of modern sports on the folk sports activity has become an indisputable fact, the road of the development of the folk custom activity both tortuous and difficult, we urgently need to solve how to inherit the folk sports, how to develop.Loudi is located in central Hunan the special geographical position, because of its location, resulting in the history and culture of rich and colorful, also in Loudi popular with every kind of rich and colorful folk sports activities, but its development will not escape the global cultural baptism, weaken the awareness of its protection and inheritance significance, rich and colorful folk sports gradually disappeared from the public eye, on the other hand, Loudi is in a large-scale urban construction, make the rural farmers in production and life style, concept system happened to turn the world upside down change, this huge waves and to the development of folk sports in Loudi. Therefore, the inheritance and development of the Loudi area folk sports, become an urgent problem to be solved.In this study, ethnology, folklore, sociology, anthropology, history as the theoretical basis, access to relevant literature data, questionnaire, interview, analysis of the logic development status of folk sports in Loudi, in-depth study of bottleneck and Countermeasures Facing the development, causes, understood the Loudi area folk sports activity characteristics, function of origin induction, spread so far and has lost a content analysis of folk sports, folk sports activities mode, and through the questionnaire survey to the villagers to participate in the Loudi folk sports festival crowd basic characteristics, motivation, knowledge, time and frequency, forms of organization, funding sources, venue, equipment and other investigation.The study found that the development of the folk sports in Loudi area, there are some disadvantages: cognitive generally shallow, simplified; activity contents, folk flavor dilution; lack of money, lack of venues and equipment; folk environmental destruction. This paper puts forward some practical countermeasures in view of the actual situation of the existing related: the use of media publicity, hold the folk sports games; mining folk sports curriculum resources play a main role; inheritance; the government plays a leading role, strengthen the construction of legal system.
