Research On The Influence Of Network Environment On Students’ Ideological And Political Education And Methods To The Problems

Nowadays, in China internet has become an important way for college students to get information and have fun. On one hand, the internet brings convenience to their life; on the other hand, it has some bad information such as online pornography, rumors and fraud. Besides, western countries upload movies, software and games to promote their values and infiltrate our culture. Some students are too young to judge between right and wrong, so they are easily influenced, especially by bad information. It is a major subject for China’s ideological and political education to deal with those negative effects on college students.The paper has 5 parts:First, it describes the research background and significance. It sums up the main findings of my research into the literature at home and abroad on the cyber environment, ideological education and other related fields.Second, it introduces the concept of cyber environment, analyzes the theory and policies on ideological and political education, and applies theory to practice. It combines the theory of Psychoanalytic Motivation and Network Communication in its theory evidence. As a result, it provides theoretical references for College Students’ theological and political education.Third, the methods of consulting documents, cases analysis, social surveys and the other methods in the thesis to discuss the positive and negative impact of the internet on students’ political ideology. The internet can help students to release their emotions, to consolidate their identities and to expand their knowledge. As a result, the internet makes political education more efficient. However, in the meanwhile the internet can make students blur their beliefs, dislike communication, decrease their ability to think and weaken their senses of moral responsibility. In this way students can not get correct values.Fourth, it analyzes the reason for those negative effects.Fifth, it gives some advice on how to improve ideological and political education for college student: strengthen cyber laws and regulations; set up websites on college political education; train better teachers; encourage college students to educate themselves. The thesis stresses such aspects as strengthening network management, purifying network environment, enhancing the construction of “red website” and making it more attractive to promote the effective implement of college students’ Ideological and political education.
