Research on Chinese higher education student loan administration modes, based on the experience and inspiration of Michigan State UniversityChinese Colleges and Universities are expanding rapidly and this thriving development is the emerging trend in Chinese higher education reform. Following the popularization of compulsory education, people are eager to receive higher education. As a result, a large gap has been generated between the rich and poor. This gap has caused an alarming number of students to have financial difficulties when trying to receive a higher education. The student loan program has become one of the major policies to support the students seeking a higher education. However, like many countries around the world that have also implemented student loans, China inevitably faces a severe financial crisis, system implementation difficulties, higher education cost recovery problems, student loan inequality and inefficiency, disputes on students loan practice, and student loan repayment problems. All of these different problems are becoming a "bottle-neck" on the higher education student loan system development.Unlike developed countries, our higher education student loan program has had a late start. Although we have not yet experienced a massive institutional crisis, a significant loophole still exists in policy implementation. America has had a history of a student loan program and has achieved notable accomplishments. Along the way, the successful implementation of the American student loan system is an invaluable example.Using their successful experiences to enhance our internal management and parallel development can improve our higher education student loan system. This will reduce the higher education funding crisis to an extent and also can promote higher education entrance equality.
