In nowadays, the network is becoming a more and more important social living space. Correspondingly, social interaction tools based on network become a fashion cycle. Wechat is one of them. The appearance of We Chat refreshes the original structure of the social network. The new mode of interpersonal communication it brings has attracted students’ eyes, and becomes a part of the daily life of students. College students are the future of our country. They are the participants and policymakers of the affairs of state, and have a strong sense of novelty. In today’s era of We Chat, the situation of college students using We Chat and the impact about interpersonal relationships is the theme of our research.The paper takes the college students as the object. After reading a lot existing literature the author decides to use the idea of hypothesis – Test. In addition the research uses the method of questionnaire, quantitative analysis method to analyze the generalization of data into visual chart form. At the same time, using participative observation in the research makes the report more complete. In the end, the author points out the influences of We Chat.According to the data, We Chat has basically been integrated into the life of college students, and becomes one of the main tools of daily interpersonal communication of college students. But there are some differences existing in We Chat, including gender, education and professional. These differences will be presented very clearly in the paper by forms and charts. Through the literature review, data analysis and participative observation, the study concluded that: the influences of We Chat divided into positive and negative. The positive effects include: We Chat makes interpersonal communication of college students more convenient closely; provides emotional attribution and sustenance for college students; from the media of the We Chat arouse the student’s creativity. Negative effects include: the excessive use of We Chat may cause social dependence; the communication with the strangers may cause security problems; the rise of the circle of friends purchasing disrupted the normal interpersonal, endangering students’ friendship. In summary, the research thought the influence of We Chat is more positive than negative. Finally, the author put forward some suggestions of using We Chat correctly.
