The Present Situation And Countermeasure Of The Ecological Civilization Education For College Students In Inner Mongolia

With the development of economy, the human demand more and more from the nature and the global ecological crisis gradually gets human beings into trouble, increasingly threatening the survival of mankind. It is an inevitable and realistic issue that how we solve the harms that the ecological crisis does to the human beings. Today’s ecological crisis is the consequences of the development of industrial society. If we want to solve the ecological problems, everyone does one’s bit to it. With the development of human civilization, people increasingly realize the seriousness of ecological problems. As time and human civilization are constantly progressing, a new kind of advanced modern civilization called ecological civilization appeared in the process of developing, ecological civilization, ecological civilization is a rational reflection of human beings on the contemporary ecological crisis. It is a new pattern of civilization, which is based on the awareness of importance of ecology. Education is the biggest support for the evolution and development of human civilization. The construction of ecological civilization must start from the education. Colleges and universities are important base of the development of human society and ecological civilization, so the construction of ecological civilization is inseparable from the education.This paper takes the ecological civilization as field of vision, referring to the advanced research results at home and abroad and elaborates on meaning, contents and necessities of ecological civilization education. On this basis, the author carries out the data investigation into colleges and universities of Inner Mongolia and the result shows that Inner Mongolia’s university and college students are lack of awareness of ecological civilization. Compared with the developed countries, there is a big gap between them. The investigation mainly shows that the college students’ environmental awareness is relatively weak in Inner Mongolia and values on being responsible for ecology has not been established and there is a big gap between theory and practice of ecological protection. Through investigation, the author comes to the conclusion by in-depth analysis and it shows that interests-priority ideology, unreasonable teaching contents and unbalance between practice of ecological protection and theoretical development are main cause for the lack of civilization education. Faced with these problems, the author puts forward the effective principles and relevant countermeasures to strengthen the ecological civilization education. The improvement of ecological civilization education must start from education, reforming the existent ideas, which can make college education disintegrate from interests-priority ideology which was formed in industry civilized society. Ideas for constructing colleges’ ecological education are put forward from the perspective of human culture and human existence: universities and colleges should strengthen the construction of teaching curriculum system, based on creative educational approaches, enhancement of teachers’ strength and improvement on autonomous learning. Students should be organized to learn the ecology laws of Inner Mongolia and whole country so as to improve their awareness of them. Students’ values on morality and responsibility should be developed to build up ideas for ecological civilization. Schools should encourage students to practice themselves in ecological civilization and reform themselves in it. Thus, their awareness of ecological protection is strengthened and combination of theory and practice can be fulfilled. At last, final goal, aiming to make real contribution to whole society, is achieved.
