Use Of English Vocabulary Learning Strategies And Improvement Strategies About Grade One Of High School

Vocabulary is the foundation of any language, and vocabulary is the basis on the English learning. According to suggestions on the implementation of college entrance examination reform, English examinations will have twice a year from 2017, and Pay more attention to the communicative functions of English. Insufficiency in vocabulary hinders the improvement in listening, speaking,, reading and writing as well as translating.After the author seriously studied learning strategies, especially vocabulary learning strategies that is from the works about Chinese and foreign linguists, the author investigated the rural senior high school that is from the Luoshan county- Nangan senior high school. The author used questionnaire to know about 101 students English learning concept and strategy, then went to find out the 20 students’vocabulary learning situation who are from experimental classes and emotional aspects at an interview. Average statistical methods were used to feedback students’ learning ideas and strategies, then used the average and percentage statistical methods to compare the result of the pre-test and re-test.This paper is designed to solve the following questions:(1) What are the English vocabulary learning strategies that senior high school students have been using?(2) How much vocabulary learning strategies can promote vocabulary learning?(3) How much vocabulary learning strategies can improve your English?The research proves that there are many misconceptions about the learning vocabulary. Students often use memory strategies, while the cognitive strategies and meta-cognitive strategies are seldom used. After four months of vocabulary learning strategies training, I found that performance of the experimental class is far better than that in comparative classes. Vocabulary learning strategies training in senior high school is helpful to improve the students’ English ability.
