College students’ideological and political education internalization refers to the active process that college students, due to their own needs, under the guidance of educators and the influence of other factors, convert ideological and political education information from educators into spiritual forms which can dominate their own behaviors by the following steps:reflection, selection, integration, conversion, consolidation and implementation. During this process, the effect of college students’ideological and political education internalization plays an important role in evaluating ideological and political education work for undergraduates. A study on college students’ideological and political education internalization is beneficial to improve and deepen the ways for ideological and political education, understand the contradictions in the process of college students’ideological and political education internalization, and strengthen the effectiveness of college students’ideological and political education.Based on the theory of ideological and political education and its related researches, this thesis, started from the standpoint of practical problems in ideological and political education, firstly presents a comprehensive analysis on the mechanism and process of college students’ ideological and political education. Then, based on the existing problem in college students’ ideological and political education internalization and its cause, this thesis put forward some relevant effective solutions in order to improve the effectiveness of college students’ideological and political education. There are five parts in this paper, and its specific contents are as follows:The first part is introduction which mainly presents the origin of the research on college students’ideological and political education internalization, the research background, the classification of related concepts, the research focus and innovation, and the research method.The second part is a brief introduction to college students’ideological and political education internalization. Firstly, the definition of college students’ideological and political education internalization, the theoretical framework and the significance on this topic are discussed. Then, the existing contradiction and its characteristic in the process of college students’ideological and political education internalization are analyzed. Lastly, the dialectical relationship between internalization and externalization on college students’ideological and political education, namely, the unity of opposites between them is analyzed.The third part is a discussion on mechanism and process of college students’ideological and political education internalization. On one hand, key elements of mechanism and its main operating mechanism are described. On the other hand, the process of college students’ ideological and political education internalization is analyzed, in which four phases are included: the formation and establishment of internalizing criterion, internalizing information acquisition, internalizing information integration and externalizing implementation.The fourth part is an analysis on the existing problem in college students’ ideological and political education internalization and its cause. First of all, the existing problems in the process of college students’ ideological and political education internalization are pointed out. They are listed as follows:wrong recognition on ideological and political education, low enthusiasm in internalization, lacking internalized power, weak emotional identity and deviation between knowledge and action. And then, the causes of these problems are explored from the following aspect:college students’ cognitive structure, college students’ emotion, college students’needs, and educators.The fifth part is a study on main approaches to improve the effectiveness of college students’ ideological and political education internalization. Based on the above problems, this paper put forward some solutions. They are analyzed and described in detail from these aspects: college students’ subjectivity, internalizing mediator, internalizing environment, construction of work team and new mechanism on social practice.
