With the rapid development of science and technology in this era, the information of education causes peoples attention and concern gradually. The research about multimedia learning is always a hot topic in the field of education, especially in the field of educational skills. For the moment, numerous researchers are studying the principle, the mechanism and the model of multimedia learning from different angles, but these researches can not make people form a complete understanding of multimedia learning because they mainly based on a certain angle like cognitive psychology or communication and to the large extent they would be restricted by the theoretical basis.As the common methodology of all subjects in humanities social science, semiotics lays particular emphasis on the engender and deliver of meaning, which can provide people a new angle of view to understand the multimedia learning completely.This article discusses the problems of multimedia learning about trend in development,research framework and its effectiveness established in the view of semiotics.The text elaborates the relative theoretical basis of multimedia learning in the sight of semiotics firstly, also it analyses some typical research of multimedia learning conducted at home and abroad from the angles constitute elements and their relationships, founding that professor Meier stresses the internal representation of knowledge who research the multimedia learning in the angle of cognitive psychology. He lays particular emphasis on the research where observers can balance the relationship between signification and signal from the perspective of semiotics. While the views of professor You Zeqing are more stress the external representation of knowledge from the perspective of picture linguistic and lay more emphasis on the producers. The text has developed a research framework of multimedia learning in the view of semiotics on this basis, and has integrated the internal representation with the external representation effectively.Secondly, focusing on the current circumstances, it has combined the multimedia learning with the Internet age. It analyzed the relationship between elements in the framework and media courseware and discussed the new direction of multimedia learning’s development-- learning in multimedia three-dimensional mode.Last but not least, the author carried out the work of designing, developing and probation of micro-course whose topic is “demonstrating the example about the ways of object-oriented visual and stratified visual in the powerpoint 2013â€. From the research, over 60.6% can make full marks in the exam, which means micro-courses have good effect for study. In other word, the framework of multimedia learning in the view of semiotics is feasible and workable.In the light of semiotics, the text explored the theoretical value of multimedia learning preliminarily, laying research deeper foundations for the development of multimedia learning. Also, it provides reference from a new view for the general scholars. Based on the above, the author will make a further exploration in the practice value of multimedia learning research. |
