WithnanningwithASEANcountriesineconomic,culturalandotherfieldsincreasingl yfrequent,increasingthenumberofacculturationofstudentsfromASEANstudyingto nanning.Cross-culturaladaptationtobecomeoneofthemajorproblemscurrentlyface dbystudentsfromASEANstudyinginNanning.Therearemoreandmorestudiesaboutproblemsandinfluecingfactorsofaccultura tioninthestudyofacculturation.However,therearelessstudiesaboutthestagesofaccul turation,especiallyforeignstudentcommunityfromtheAssociationofSoutheastAsia nNations(ASEAN).Oberg’sfour-stagemodeltheoryplaysanimportantroleinthethe oryofthestagesofacculturation,theconceptofcultureshockseedsthestudyofaccultur ation.Therefore,theauthortriestoultilzeOberg’sfour-stagetheorytoanalyzethestage sofacculturationofstudentsfromASEANstudyinginNanning.Inordertoverifytheabovehypothesis,thisstudyanalyzesandunderstandstheforei gnstudentsfromASEANstudyinginNanningwiththecombinationofqualitativeanal ysisandquantitativeanalysis.Basedonthis,thisstudyputsforwardtheproblemsandma kestheindepthexplorationonthestagesofacculturationofthestudentsfromASEANth roughthequestionnaireanddepthinterview.Thisstudyneedstosolvethefollowingfou rquestions:Thefirstisabouttheoverallconditionsofthestagesofacculturationofthestudentsf romASEANstudyinginNanning.Thesecondiswhetherthereexistthestagesintheacculturationofthestudentsfrom ASEANstudyinginNanning,andshowswhatkindofthestages,andhowaboutthechar acteristicsofthestages.Thethirdiswhetherthereexistthedifferencesbetweenthestagesofacculturationo fthestudentsfromASEANstudyinginNanningandOberg’sfour-stagetheory,andther easonsofthedifferences.Thefourthisaboutthemaininfluencingfactorsofthestagesofacculturationofthest udentsfromASEANstudyinginNanning.TheStudyfoundthatacculturationofthestudentsfromASEANstudyinginNanni ngadaptationprocesscanbedividedintofourstages:thehoneymoon-thecrisisperiod,r ecoveryperiod,andadjustmentperiod.WithOberg’sfour-stagetheory,describedther esultswiththetheoryofphasetrendisthesame,differencebetween"cultureshock"phe nomenonisnotobvious.Appeardifferencestherearethreemainreasons:thesubjectsha sagoodlanguagelearningandstudyfoundation,thesubjectshasacleargoalandmotivat ionofstudy,subjectswithhighculturalidentityofChineseculture.Throughtheanalysis foundthatpsychologicaladaptationandlearning,dailylife,socialinteractionhasrelev ance,theotherfactorsthataffecttheaseanstudentsinterculturaladaptationincludesCh ineselevel,thetrainingofstudyabroadbefore.Theauthorthinksthat,Oberg’sfour-stag etheoryisgreatsignificancetoguidethethestudentsfronmA.SEANstudyinginNanning interculturaladaptation,throughtheanalysisofthetheory,andcombinedwithactualsit uation,putforwardthecorrespondingmeassurestoimprovethestudentsfromASEANs tudyinginNanningsinterculturaladaptation,inordertohelptheassociationofthestude ntsfromASEANstudyinginNanningcross-culturaladaptationand,asinnanningatpro vidingreferenceforcollegesanduniversitiestocarryouttheeducationforinternational students. |
