It is a comprehensive test for the high-level athletes that today’s competitive sports competition is intense, which reflects not only in the aspect of athletic skills, but also the aspect of morality, physical and psychological quality and also individual pursuit. Literacy education is a foundation to realize the comprehensive quality education and a necessary means to lead the comprehensive development of the high-level athletes. It has played an important role in the comprehensive, balanced and sustainable development of national sports that the State Council, General Administration of Sport of China and Education Department issued many documents in different periods, which aimed to constantly improve the management system of athletes’ literacy education and make up for the knowledge-absence. Nevertheless, some colleges attach great importance to the training and sport competition, neglecting the cultivation of literacy education and comprehensive quality, which obeys the education concept of people-orientation.In the year of 1987, colleges in Hubei province began to form high-level sport teams. After the years of exploration and practice, it has made a great contribution to the national sports and cultivated a group of excellent sport talents. However,in the procedure of athlete management, the colleges that recruit high-level athletes has exposed many problems, especially on the aspect of how to deal with the contradiction between knowledge learning and sport training and competition, and on the aspect of how to realize the educational objectives and employment after the high-level athletes’ retirement. All the problems above concern the athletes’ future and destiny, which should be solved as soon as possible. Only in this way, can the high-level sport teams in colleges be improved constantly. Based on the problems, using the methods of literature, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics, this study investigates and analyzes the knowledge learning situation among college high-level sport teams in Hubei province, and the research findings are:(1) it is weak of the high-level athletes’ knowledge foundation in Hubei province, and the curriculum in most of the colleges are divorced from the athletes’reality.(2) it is lack of specificity for the literacy education management system of college high- level athletes in Hubei province; the way of management classes are divide into independent classes and separate classes, mainly with separate classes.(3) high-level athletes are not clear about the cognition of knowledge learning, lacking of the initiative of knowledge learning, not forming the good habits of knowledge learning, and having a incorrect learning attitude.
