During the past decades, English has already been a universal language throughout the world with the rapid development of economy, which has put the English education under great pressure. Nowadays, new English curriculum reform is growing vigorously in our country, and effective classroom can be found everywhere in the reforming process. However, there also exist plenty of students who do poor in English study for many reasons; they have already become Students with English Learning Problems in Senor High School. It is hard for these students to pass the English Proficiency Test in Grade two and make great achievements in English of College Entrance Examination. Even worse, they exerted a terrible influence on the English level of the school as well as the whole region. Senor High School Students with English Learning Problems refer to the ones who have trouble in learning English but not necessarily in other subjects. With the equal intelligence to others, but they cannot meet the requirements that Curriculum Standards set in English learning of Senior High School for some reasons. In this essay, the situation can be transformed under the instruction of English teachers. Though the specialists and scholars in education are very concerned about this issue, they often focus a lot on the reasons of students with English learning problems but not too much on the teachers’instructive strategies. So, the thesis focuses on the teachers’instructive strategies on senior high students with English learning problems, with the intention of finding out good aspects and bad aspects of instructive strategies together with some measures.The research, which was based on many scholars’research results, was done in Grade One and Two in No.2Senior High School of Miluo. Students with English learning problems as well as their English teachers were questioned. In the research, the writer gave a detailed analysis of the data which were collected from the questionnaire survey and case study. Therefore, the writer found out the problems existing in the teachers’ instructive strategies and some optimizing measures.In the full thesis, four chapters are as follows. Chapter One gives the readers an introduction of the reasons why the thesis topic was selected, the significance in theory and practice, and the research methods and it also sums up the research result of other researchers home and abroad. Also, words relevant to the thesis are defined. In Chapter Two, the writer did a survey on teachers’ instructive strategies in No.2Senior High School of Miluo and classified the data. And, three aspects can be put forward from the analysis results:three good aspects of teachers’ instructive strategies and four problems to be solved. Chapter Three focuses on three reasons why instructive strategies are not successful:the teachers’ instructive abilities, the receptivity of senior high school students with English learning problems and the atmosphere of applying instructive strategies into senior high schools in rural areas. Chapter Four comes up with five optimizing measures of instructive strategies. Chapter Five draws a conclusion that there are still many limitations in this research and what should be done in future.
