From entering the teaching team, the primary job for the teachers who graduated fromcolleges and universities is teaching. Therefore, the key of teaching adaptation is whether thenew teachers can put the specialized knowledge and practical skills that they learned from theuniversities into practice. Due to the different cultural level and personal accomplishment ofnew teachers, the problems of teaching adaptation are different. So it is important to know theproblem of teaching, analyze the reasons of problem and propose the reasonable suggestions.This study aims to investigate teaching adaptation of junior middle school English newteachers of Pingyu country Zhumadian city, analyze the factors affecting the teaching, so as toprovide countermeasures and suggestions for shortening the teaching adaptation period of thejunior middle school English new teachers.We have surveyed the junior middle school English new teachers’ teaching adaption ofthe Pingyu county Zhumadian city. We can know that the junior middle school English newteachers can finish the lesson preparation, attending class, arrange homework, correcthomework, instruct the student after class and have a exam to evaluate the students. But newteachers have problems in analyzing the ability of the students, method selection of task-basedteaching, teaching of cross-cultural communication knowledge, dealing with the emergency inclass, group activities in class and teaching reflection and blackboard design. In addition, wealso found the factors that influencing the teaching adaptation of junior middle school Englishnew teachers of Pingyu country Zhumadian city. The factors are teachers’ personalaccomplishment, school arrangement, training and arrangement of pre-service cultivation,job-training teaching administrative machinery. So we suggest that teachers should adapt therole transition and improve the professional quality. What’s more, the school should improvethe training in school, carry out effective mentoring and establish scientific teachingevaluation mechanism. The colleges and universities should strengthen the ability of practice.In these ways, we can shorten the teaching adaption period of the new teachers in this city,improve teaching quality and supervision of educational practice. In addition, educationaladministrative machinery should pay more attention to the job training of new teachers from system and strengthen the induction training in school.
