Analysis On The Rise Of French Women’s Basketball

French women’s basketball team consecutively ranked in the top three in the European Championship from2009to2013, respectively, for the first, the third and the second. In the2006and2010World Championship they got the fifth and sixth respectively. The French women’s basketball team only participated once before2012Olympic Games and never got a medal. But in2012London Olympic Games, the French women’s basketball team has entered the final and made history. They became one of the strong teams in the world.Nowadays the world women’s basketball is very competitive. The American women’s basketball team outshines others and European teams are also rising quietly. Asian basketball is still struggling to explore its own development way. The rise of the French women’s basketball team is not manifested through Olympic Games only by once or determined by one or two times only. Therefore, the research purpose of this article is based on the analysis of the rise of the French women’s basketball team factors. Then we can learn from the successful experience and find out the inherent law to provide theoretical reference to guide the development of Chinese women’s basketball team.This paper used the method of documentation, expert interviews, mathematical statistics method, video observation and other research methods and analyzed the French politics, economy, culture, education, sports system, back-up personnel training, as well as basketball training and competition. Following is the conclusion:1. France has appeared many good black players after several times immigration. Blacks have superior physical conditions on basketball. French GDP ranked fifth in the world. The big proportion of public services rapidly promoted the development of sports in France. The containment of French cultural made France absorbed many excellent athletes. Good education laid a foundation for all aspects of athletes. 2. The guards of French basketball team have excellent abilities. Their scores were the highest in proportion of the total scores. Their3-point ability and break skills are outstanding. Team points mainly came from the positional attack. The expansion of man-to-man was used in the defense. They did a good job in the fouls control. The data of blocks and defensive rebounds was prominent.3. The success of French women basketball teams can’t do without reserve talents whose competition results are also very good and integration and deployment of the team and external resources by the FFBB. FFBB played an important role in the cultivation of the coaches, management of athletes, organization and management of games and sharing of the resources, etc. European competition system created direct opportunities for French women’s basketball team to understand and master the world advanced skills and plays as well as improve itself.4. With the combination system of government and society, they mainly adopted "two plans, three stages" training concept and mode to create competitive talents. The French sports institute has cultivated a large number of high level sports talents for France.5. There existed some problems in Chinese women’s basketball such as lack of style, inside players, reserve forces and so on. By studying from the French women’s basketball, Chinese women’s basketball should perfect the reserve forces system, standard coaches training system, improve the league level, strengthen international exchanges, reshape the basketball style and enhance the physical ability in body contact.
