Value is of great importance to human beings.“Value” reflects the relationshipbetween the subject and the object; that is what the object means to the subject. As asocial sense, value is people’s essential view towards its nature as well as acomprehensive system about people’s goal of value, standard of value, orientation ofvalue on the basis of practices. With the transition and development of the society, themodern university students’values are becoming more and more complex and variousdue to the complex international situation, social structure, the environment ofuniversities, family relationship, personal cognition and other factors.This paper, based on the research for the values of the contemporary universitystudents, employs the eclectic methodology combining the questionnaire survey withliterature study starting from the research of the background. According to the resultsof the investigation, this paper deals with the goal, standard and orientation of thecontemporary university students’ values in politics, economy, morality, knowledgeand life, and achieves a better understanding of the present situation of their values.The mainstream of the contemporary university students’ value is positive, healthyand prosperous, but there are still some problems on some students’ value.This paper makes a good knowledge of the values of the contemporary universitystudents in Chengdu by applying date and model analysis, including the analysis ofthe goal, standard and orientation of their value. The following are the main fouraspects:Firstly, generally speaking, most college students’ values are highly in consistentwith the requirements of socialism core values, but the value goals, value standard andvalue orientation of part of college students are being biased and alienated, which isvalue deviance. In other words, this value deviance has different levels, the lowerlevel appears as Values Deviation while the higher level which contradicts to theSocial Core Values appears as Values alienation. Secondly, the thesis will explain the value deviation and alienation of thecontemporary college students from the following four aspects. First, the awakeningand consolidation of college students’ main consciousness; second, the impact ofsocial transition to college students; third, the values cultivation of college studentsshould be intensified and the last one is that the collision of values under thecircumstance of globalization.Thirdly, this paper, based on Marxism Human Theory and Piaget’s Cognitiveemergence theory, education and human development theory and the theory ofideological and political education, explores the questions of partial correction valuesof contemporary college students. In addition, this paper makes the maxim humanismas a correction theoretical basis, along with the use of Piaget’s Cognitive emergencetheory, made the education and human development theory and the theory ofideological and political education as the corrections of the Methodological basis.Finally, from this perspective, the goals, principles, methods, strategies andassessments of correcting the departure of contemporary college students’ values willbe explained. The paper aims at giving service to the personnel training of socialismwith Chinese characteristics, leading college students to cultivating and practicing thesocialist core values, promoting comprehensive and balanced development ofcontemporary college student. The principles of correcting are the combination oftheory and practice, the combination of subjectivity and dominance and that of realityand virtuality. The methods mainly adopted are the theory of infusion method, thetheory of exchange of ideas, the theory of code of conduct, the theory of cultureedification and the theory of practical experience. This paper put forward thefollowing four strategies: strengthening the building of campus environment to leadthe campus culture; secondly, deepening classroom education of ideology and politicsto give play to the effect of main channel, innovating online education platform tograsp the right of public opinion guidance and optimizing student affairs management,guiding students to self-correcting and explaining the principle and process ofassessment.
