The Research Of College Students’Internet Participation In The Situation Of Network Control

With the development of network technology and the prevalence of network applications, people are more simple and convenient to get and release information. You can share, discuss and exchange ideas anywhere and anytime. Internet participation has become an integral part of citizen participation. The views that we expressed on internet form to one or more power to influence related social events and promote the government management.Students are the largest occupational groups of Internet users. As the elite of students, college students are more open minded, rights aware and social responsible. They have a strong sense to take part in the Internet participation. However, there are many problems in the development of Internet in China at present. Government and industry organizations have taken various measures of network control to safeguard national security, social stability and protect the rights and interests of citizens. In the situation of network control, the process of students’ Internet participation, the value of the participation, the ideas and feelings about the government have emerged as a unique state. Although the original intention of these Internet control measures is good, there are several problems while college students take part in Internet participation because of students’ and policy makers’ limitations. Although the network control purify network environment, there are many deviations in the implementation. All forces should join together to solve these problems and truly to raise the level of students’ Internet participation, as well as increase the depth and breadth of Internet participation. Only in this way the Internet participation of college students can play an active role in promoting the democratization of our country.The article first summarizes the relevant theory about the network control and Internet participation to summarize the background, subject, object and weakness about China network control now. Then I regard the network control as the background of college students’ Internet participation. This paper adopts empirical research through questionnaires and interviews. This paper studies the main subject, process and result of college students’ Internet participation. These present the college students’ Internet participation status in the situation of network control. After the analysis of existing problems, I put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
