It is no count that knee ligament injuries are very popular in women football players. Their injury degree and rehabilitation period have significant effect on the sport career of women football players. How to prevent and avoid knee ligament injuries in women football players effectively is a hotspot of research. Knee flexion and extension muscle group, and core muscle strength have great influence on knee stability. This paper tested the isometric strength of knee flexion and extension muscle group, and core muscle strength, in order to discuss the strength difference between injured athletes and non-injured athletes after test. The author tested isometric strength for players of Beijing Baxi Women Football Club in2011and2012, and followed-up their knee ligament injury conditions during2011to2013. The athletes who injured their knee ligament after test in2011and2012were divided into injured group (S1, S2) and non-injured group (N1, N2). This study analyzed the data of knee flexion and extension muscle and core muscle strength in different groups in different year. Results:1. Concentric strength of hamstring (p<0.01) and H/Q (p<0.05) in S1and S2significantly lower than those in N1and N2.2. There was no significant difference in eccentric strength of quadriceps and hamstring and their ratio between S2and N2.3. In S2, the E/C value of hamstring was lower than1in both sides. This was much lower than recommend value.4. In all these four groups, the ratios of the strength (concentric and eccentric strength) of same muscle between left and right side were close to1.5. The prone bridge results of S2were lower than N2(p<0.01). Conclusion:1. Weak concentric strength of hamstring and lower H/Q maybe one of the causes that lead to knee ligament injury in women football players.2. Before injury happens, the athletes who injured their knee ligament had weak eccentric strength of hamstring which lower than concentric strength. This can be a reason for knee ligament injury.3. All players who participated in test had weak eccentric strength of quadriceps and hamstring which lower than110%of concentric strength. There is great gap between these athletes’strength with recommend value.4. The ratio between the same muscle in left and right side was close to1, which indicated that there is no difference between dominant leg and non-dominant leg.5. Prone bridge test reflected the difference in core strength, which might be the reason for the injury of one player.
