Purpose:Aiming to find the characteristic and the law of the backhand medial screw units of the athletes in different levels, this study uses the Motion Analysis and3D video graphic analysis to record and analysis the backhand medial screw units. It will provide the example and the reference to table tennis players and amateurs to learn the medial screw units. Methods:This study analyzes and diagnoses the upper limbs, lower limbs and trunk of the athletes in different levels in the leading stage and the flicking racket stage using the Motion Analysis and3D video graphic analysis to test and analyze the backhand medial screw units.Conclusion:1) For the time proportion of the flicking racket stage is greater than other stage of completing the backhand medial screw units. And the top athletes use less time in touching the ball than general athletes.2) In the moving process of the backhand medial screw units, the specialized track of the racket presents the cambered shape. For the top athletes, the speed of the end of the racket’s leading and the ball touching is greater than the general athletes.3) Shoulder joint angle magnified which is lasting until the early stage of the flicking racket stage. The elbow bent joint keeps at90°, and rapidly stretching at the flicking racket stage.4) At the beginning of the flicking racket stage, the external rotation of the forearm is after the internal rotation. This mode of this motion enlarges the range of swing the racket which benefits the greater speed at the flicking racket stage.5) Wrist’joint angle decreases first and then increases. The wrist joint angle of the top athletes and the armatures have a significant difference in the beginning point of racket leading, the ending point of the racket leading and the moment of the flicking racket.
