Talent resource has come first in today’s society. To realize the great rejuvenation andthe full prosperity of a country, millions of professionals of various types and levels arenecessary. With the enhancement of comprehensive national strength and the improvement ofeducational level, our country has implemented the strategy of personnel training further. Thecurrent gross enrollment rate of higher education has increased to30%from2%-3%in theearly1980s, and the college admission rate has increased to75%in2013from4.8%in1977.In the background of development of reforming and opening-up of the society, theenvironment is becoming more and more complicated. The college students’ outlook on thelife and the values are impacted by the bad phenomenon and values on the society.Nowadays,college students’ problem behavior shows a tendency of increasing highlight oncampus, which has caused certain destruction and disturbance on the campus environmentand teaching activities, as well as the growth and development of college studentsthemselves.“The National Medium and Long Term Program for Education Reform andDevelopment”(2010-2020) puts forward the strategic theme which insists on morality, ability,and comprehensive development. Thus, it is extremely important and urgent task in collegesand universities to prevent the students’ bad behaviors effectively, to improve theirideological and moral quality, and to guide them to develop healthily and entirely.This paper is on the basis of previous research results, combing with the author’s ownwork experience, adopting the research method of interview, questionnaire survey, andcomprehensive analysis. First, it summarizes the common and typical problem behavior madeby college students on campus. Second, it analyzes the reasons from two aspects of studentsand colleges. Third, it puts forward the countermeasures to be taken in colleges anduniversities. This study aims to help the educators in colleges and universities to comprehendreasonably the students’ problem behavior on campus, to grasp the methods and laws ofideological and political education, to improve the way of the student administration. It mightprovide a reference about preventing the problem behaviors on campus effectively.The basic structure and content are as follows:The first part is the general theory about behavior and problem behavior. Behavior means all activities in daily life. Behavior includes the external behavior and the internalbehavior, the instinctual behavior and the social behavior. Generally speaking, the behavior iscomposed of five basic elements, which includes actors, objects, environments, tools, as wellas the results. Behavior has the characteristics of causality, purpose and plasticity. It can beaffected by the genetic quality, physiological or psychological factors, and the externalenvironments. Problem behavior is one kind of behavior of human beings, which is contraryto the requirements of the socialist spiritual civilization as well as the excellent culturaltradition of China, and is a violation of norms and standards of the relevant social public life.It causes adverse effects or harm to the society, the collective, others and the individuals.Problem behavior will destroy the harmony between individual and others, individual andsociety, and will also destroy the physical and mental harmony of individual.The second part is the analysis of the current situation of contemporary college students’problem behaviors on campus. On the one hand, obtaining first-hand information and data bymeans of interview and questionnaire survey, then ordering and organizing these informationand data to sum up four kind of problem behavior, such as lack of honesty, poor classattendance and class performance, uncivilized speaking and acting, and improper use of thenetwork, moreover, working out the proportion of each specific problem behavior. On theother hand, through the analysis of the survey results, three features of the problem behaviorshas been summed up, such as universality, mostly occurred by accident, and mostly occurredin uneven areas.The third part is about the reasons for the problem behavior of college students on thecampus. The causes are multifaceted. This paper mainly analyzes from three aspects ofsociety, students and schools. First, the social factor, for example, the negative effects of themarket economy and the vulgarization phenomena in mass media. Second, college studentshave not yet formed solid moral values and beliefs, some students’ willpower and self-controlability is weak and insufficient, moreover, certain students have defects in their ownpersonality. Third, the ideological and political education on the part of universities orcolleges usually emphasis on imparting knowledge, but ignore the moral behavior culture; the way and the idea of student management is obsolete and backward; certain adverseeducational environment on campus leads some negative impacts.The fourth part states the countermeasures. First, to establish good moral environmentand mass media environmen in the society; second, to improve the ideological and politicaleducation by implementing practice teaching, emphasizing on the estimation on moralbehavior. Second, to improve the management of college students through setting upreasonable managing idea, improving the construction of college counselor team, enforcingthe college rules and regulations rigidly and trying to perfect them.
