| In this social transition period with economic development and social reforms,people are faced with increasingly more choices, so the rise of divorce rate is aninevitable trend. However, the divorce rate in Northeast China is significantly higherthan the national average if we combine the crude divorce rate with the ratio ofdivorces and marriages. The divorce rate in Northeast China ranks in the front forseveral years compared with other districts in China. It is worth studying what factorslead to the high divorce rate in this area.In this thesis, it first analyzes the change features of the divorce rate in NortheastChina.Then it chooses ten indexes based on a literature review at home and abroad,which are the proportion of urban population in the three provinces of NortheastChina from2002to2013, GDP per capita, the proportion of tertiary industry addedvalue in GDP, family household average, birth rate, the sex ratio of people above theage of15, total dependency ratio, illiteracy rate of people above the age of15, theproportion of college degree or above and population flow coefficient. It summarizesthe influence factors of divorce rate in Northeast China into four elements which areeconomic factor, family demographic factor, education degree and populationmobility and analyzes the influence factors of the high divorce rate in Northeast Chinaby Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Regression Analysis. The data needed toestablish model in this thesis mainly comes from the statistical yearbook of Liaoning,Jilin and Heilongjiang as well as the website of Office for National Statistics andStatistical Bulletin.Through researches, it finds out that the high divorce rate in Northeast China isrelated to the high urbanization level of the region, the extremely low birth rate, thehigh education level and strong immigrant culture inclusiveness. The combined actionof these elements contributes to the high divorce rate in Northeast China. On this basis, it proposes several suggestions aiming at the high divorce rate in NortheastChina which mainly include taking measures to raise the birth rate in Northeast China,in order to increase the stability of marriage and family; parents should strive tocultivate children’s sense of family responsibility, and cultivate children with moregentle and tolerant attitude to face diverse life styles of their family members;promoting social atmosphere of decreasing divorce rate through various means andmedia. |
