Since the reform and opening up, the development of China’s economy andthe ideological liberation has greatly promoted the prosperity of multi-culture,and this has become an important social phenomenon. Multi-culture brought tocollege students not only rational choice of faith, but also big challenges inbuilding up the correct outlook on life, values and world view. Should collegestudents have their faith? What kind of faith should they have? How to build upthe correct faith? These issues have become not only the core issues of personneltraining in colleges, but also draws attention from the whole society.Alike other provinces, Shanxi had a rapid development of more than30years focusing on energy as their main industry. The faith of Shanxi collegestudents as a whole is positive and upward, Marxism and Communisms are theirfirst choice. However, Shanxi has begun to investigate the systematic corruptionthat easy to collapse recently. This phenomenon is known as which we call it Since there are corruptions everywhere, it will collapse if you make aninvestigation in Shanxi. There is no doubt college students in building up thecorrect outlook on life, values and world view. Therefore, there is a need tostudy this issue under this special situation. The experts of domestic academic and education have done a lot ofresearches on the college students’ faith problems. Most of the research focuseson the analysis of the college students’ faith condition, influence factors, research approaches and countermeasures on the whole scale. And the existingresearches presented the characteristics of a diversity of research perspectives, detailed research content. And methods are given priority to empirical andtheoretical research, etc.Base on previous research, I have re-organize the relationship betweenthe mainstream culture and multi-culture, as well as the relationship betweenculture and faith. We concluded that faith and culture are inseparable since faithis the core content of culture, and culture is the mirror of faith. In order to provethis point of view and to obtain current of situation, I handed out300questionnaires in8Universities in Shanxi province, including TaiyuanUniversity of Technology,Shanxi University, Shanxi University of Science andTechnology, and etc. According to these questionnaires, we found out in Shanxi, faith shows more open characteristics, relies on a more scientific mode ofpropagation, and the mainstream belief becomes prevalent gradually. Besides, higher demands on the faith education of universities are made, and the faith of college students is now being revitalized and rebuilt in the globalization erawhen the faith of college students is prone to individualized development underguidance of multi-cultural, and mainstream belief plays an increasinglydominant role in its rebuilding process. According to this, we can make aconclusion that the mainstream belief of college students in Shanxi universitiesis upbeat and healthy and their attitudes toward faith are rational and prudent.Besides, Marxism and the socialist core values is the mainstream faith of Shanxicollege students. However, multi-culture has huge and obvious impacts insetting up the correct faith. The most obvious performance is their faiths arefickle and diverse. So we should use the linkage mechanism of college students’ faitheducation from the perspective of system, make sure that the college students、their families、the school and the society work together. So that we can makesure that Marxism culture is dominant; the socialist core values have a dominantposition; the university personnel’s training has a socialist direction and thecause of socialism with Chinese characteristics will get a lot of followers.
