With the development of market economy and economic globalization, people’s value ideas meet with an unprecedented challenge in social environment. College students, the "pillar" of the future society, face the complicated political, economic, educational, professional, and social environment, and demonstrate diverse emotional distress and mental pressure. It is true that the confusion of ideality and reality, the hesitation of subject learning and intensified employment, the entanglements of communication and affection inevitably result in some negative emotions such as irritability, anxiety, loneliness self-deprecating. Being negative does harm to students’ mentalities and values, further to patriotic feeling, political identity and the ascension of ideology.Through the survey of the author-made questionnaires, it is found that though college students’ overall emotional state is fairly good, the common negative emotions still affect college students’ self-identification, emotional, political, and ideological. In addition, emotion management practice and "educational" worries, displays in that education idea lack of "embodiment", that the education content ignores the cultivation of emotional intelligence in a way, that the teaching method lack of practice, that the teaching environment is short of positive interactions, and that the ideological and political education call for both theoretical innovations, dated concepts and symbols, and "embodied" activities. People, as a "living" individual, have to promote the ideological awareness, and internalize mood and emotional experience with positive state of mind. Therefore, the ideological and political education demands a more effective methodology so as to promote the guidance of "embodiment" method.Embodied cognition is sweeping the globe, emerging as a cutting-edge or inter-disciplinary science, which could be seen in Marx and Engels’ views of theory and practice. This paper makes an attempt to use embodied cognition theory for exploration of the university students’emotion management. It is argued that emotion management education system consists in the body-based experience as the medium, the emotional communication as support and the environment optimization as basis as well. This study has somewhat theoretical exploration and practical innovation. Practice helps make mood into positive energy, and guides students’ behavior and action during the process of ideological and political education. In education practice, educators mobilize good moods, and arouse emotional experience, by which ultimately to improve the education in lines of patriotism, values, political attitudes, and emotion identifications.
