Marxism has been established as the Party's and China's guiding ideology and the common ideological basis for national people's unity and struggle.The ideological and political course in colleges and universities has the function of systematical Marxist theoretical education as the main channel for the ideological and political education of college students,helping the college students establish a correct conception on the world view,life view and value view.The course can arm college students with Marxism,Mao Zedong thought and chinese characteristics socialistic theory,which is the embodiment of implementing the Party's education policy,the basic requirement of socialist university,the fundamental guarantee of the long-term development of the party and the state's undertakings,with the far-reaching significance of realizing the Chinese dream.And so the course cannot be replaced by other courses.It is closely related to emotions whether college students are active to learn ideological and political theory,whether they have received and practiced the ideological and political theory they've learned along with how well they've absorbed what they learned.Emotion management is the process of the adjustment and management of emotions of an individual or a group of people in a scientific way.Therefore,to cultivate ability of college students' emotional management,particularly focusing on ability of emotional cognition,expression and reasonable emotion catharsis,is of great significance for their studying,interpersonal relationship and physical and mental development.As a method of self-recognition,self-management and self-motivation,emotional management is closely associated with college students.Not only does it convince people by telling why cognitive emotion emerges,but also it can move people with emotion from the perspective of emotional contagion.In the teaching process of the ideological and political course,practical exploration of emotional management can not only improve the ideological and political consciousness,moral cultivation and legal awareness,but also college students' ability to adapt to the society,positive lifestyle and healthy mental quality.In addition,it can enhance the teaching effectiveness of the ideological and political course,and is important practical significance to strengthen and improve ideological and political education of college students.Therefore,the research on emotional management is indispensable.The article is divided into four parts.The first part states the research provenance and importance,the domestic and foreign research status,and research thoughts and methods.The second part states the concept,concrete content and theoretical foundation of emotional management.The theoretical foundation includes Goleman's theoreticalfoundation,Marxist theory on free and full development,humanistic learning theory on unification of emotion and cognition,and the people-oriented theory as well.By questionnaire,the third part states current situation of emotional management of college students,summarizing the questions and analyzing the cause to conclude the necessity of the emotional management.The fourth part as the core content puts forward countermeasure against the problems of the emotional management.It offers proposals of strengthening emotional management,enriching the relevant teaching content,improving the method,perfecting the evaluation mechanism and making effective management of college studunts' emotion in the-ideological and political course to promote their the physical and mental health.
