The new math curriculum standards for students to develop problem solving skills put forward new demands,improving students’ mathematics self-diagnostic ability is good for cultivating students’ ability to solve mathematical problems and improving students’ academic performance.Based on the analysis of the literature about the mathematical self-diagnostic capability,this paper designed the high school students’ mathematics self-diagnostic capabilities questionnaire. The questionnaire through the reliability analysis and validity analysis, surveyed 96 students in a high school in Anhui to understand the current situation of students’ mathematics self-diagnostic capabilities at present.The research results was collected from questionnaire and analyazed by SPSS.The conclusion of this paper is the relation between student’s mathematics academic performance and abilities about mathematics self-diagnostic ability is positive;the relation between student’s mathematics academic performance and mathematics self-diagnostic ability is positive;the difference between high score students’ mathematics self-diagnostic ability and low score students’ mathematics self-diagnostic ability is obvious,and high score students’ mathematics self-diagnostic ability is better than low score students’ mathematics self-diagnostic ability,in especial the learning attitude;he difference between boys’ and girls’ mathematics self-diagnostic ability is unconspicuous;students mathematics self-diagnostic ability on today remains to be improved.Finally,this paper lists some advises to teachers to improve students’ mathematics self-diagnosis ability.
