Students’ geometric cognitive level as an index is important to develop for students’ cognition. Therefore, this study is to explore the teaching design which can promote the development of students’ geometric cognitive level. It chooses the position relationship between the line and the plane as a case. The research study in three aspects respectively from the theoretical foundation and literature review, lesson plan development and implementation of the reflection.This study adopts questionnaire survey method, interview method. In the framework of the Van Hiele theory, cognitive level test of solid geometry is designed. Before the lesson plan design, to understand the cognitive level in solid geometry, and as a basis to develop lesson plans based on geometric cognitive level, through teaching and reflection, eventually concluded that accord with the geometric cognitive level of students teaching plans, to optimize teaching, and truly achieve the goal of their aptitude.In order to achieve the research purpose, set the following research questions: the geometry of students’ cognitive level? Accord with the geometric cognitive level of students what is lesson plan design? Through the teaching implementation and its reflection, get the following conclusion: in the geometric cognitive level 1 on the eve of the students in the teaching phases; teaching design can effectively promote the development of students’ cognitive level geometry.Finally, according to the conclusions of the study, the recommendations of future teaching design: the geometric cognitive level into the preliminary analysis of the geometry teaching; appropriate supplement in accordance with geometric cognitive level of examples and exercises; the increased use of teacher’s teaching theory knowledge of consciousness.
