The study tries to Gather information about children to make records through case analysis and product analysis method in order to analyze the capacity and significance of children to make records. It also tries to find the status of children to make records and teachers’ views of the capacity and significance of children to make records by interviewing method, and analyzed the relationship between them.The following are the conclusions of this study:1. The top class children in kindergarten have the ability to do the following forms of records: items substational, written records( painting, digital, symbol, charts, line type, paste, book production); closed, open records; resulting, typical, procedural, statistical records. From the content of children’ records, we can see that the record level of the top class children is relatively high. Children can do the following in the record of anecdotal activities. Firstly, children can understand and observe teacher’ instruction very well. Secondly, children can separate imagine from reality, according to the actual situation to record. Thirdly, children can record the event. Fourthly, children can record the key and essential content. Children can record the key content in the process activities. Children usually record the following content in the process activities: the material of the operation, finished product(that is the result of activity), the tools or materials used, the difficulties. The level is divided into the following sections from specific to abstract in the finished product record of children: draw the plane product on the paper, draw the stereo product on the paper, draw a part of the product on the paper, relatively reduce the amount of the product and draw it on the paper, draw the key features of the product on the paper, use the symbol record to draw the key features of the product on the paper.2. It has great significance for children to make records. It can arouse children’s memory before children draw their conclusion,makes the evaluation more objective. It also can enhance children’s ability and scientific literacy, help children establish their mission consciousness, enhance the purpose and persistent of activity, provide the opportunity to review and reflect on, deepen the understanding and impressions of things,give children the space to expression,strengthen children’s sense of existence,helpful for peer learning, promote children’s autonomous learning and improve the teachers’ teaching. The use of Records also have great significance to children’s development: records can be used to share, as a part of formative evaluation, give teacher a new perspective to understand children, provide the basis for teacher to improve their teaching, help children to review the past experience and leaving the grow footprint for children.3. The status of children to make records and the teachers’ views of the capacity and significance of children to make records is match. Teacher underestimate the capacity and significance of children to make records is a very important factor to the lack implementation of children to make records. So if we want to improve the status of children to make records,we should change the teachers’ views of the capacity and significance of children to make records.
