In recent years, more and more patterns of English writing are available actually, which many teachers regard naively as a magic formula for writing without any innovations. What is worse, many teachers hate to train their candidates’writing competence and even ignore the candidates’ development of innovative thinking and logical reasoning ability, that is to say, according to the criteria, most of them attach great importance to a traditional writing method but ignore the spirit of writing. Candidates attend to apply writing patterns mechanically in order to get high scores by using some advanced vocabulary or complex structure. Therefore, the writing commonly results in falseness, devoid of content and dullness. It is thought in the study for the NMET writing that they are supposed to be trained in the three aspects of content, language usage and textual cohesion by using multiple alternative strategies to improve candidates’English language competence. As a result, it is proved that multiple replacement strategy, for example SCAMPER, in the NMET writing can be applied to get some worthy reference results contributing to the practical teaching,It is studied that corpus analysis (2013 Fujian NMET writing) is taken from three aspects such as content, language accuracy and textual cohesion. The author focuses on issues for the following three points:First, it is whether candidates can express ideas using a multi-dimensional replacement(SCAMPER), aimed at vocabulary, phrases, sentence patterns, textual grammatical structure (transitional words) to replace, thus, writing is a most effective means of language competence for the writing content. Second, it is whether the candidates can understand textual structure, key points and Standard English language as well as logical coherence, which means whether they can refer to the results of chunks, complex sentence structure and coherence in discourse. Third, it is whether the candidates can reverse the habit of its single-mode writing pattern, for example, just reciting some key patterns or applying canned grammatical and stylistic rules. Whether they can improve the ability of writing in practice. Thus, the competence of vocabulary, phrases, sentence patterns and discourse have been improved, including usages of grammatical structure. By taking twenty-seven English writing compositions (Fujian Province in 2013 NMET) as samples for the research, it can be found the following three points by using writing strategy:First, it is that candidates can express ideas using a multi-dimensional replacement called SCAMPER method, aimed at vocabulary, phrases, sentence patterns, textual grammatical structure (transitional words) to replace, thus, writing is most effective means of communication for the content. Second, it is that the candidates can understand textual structure, key points and Standard English language as well as logical coherence, which means whether they can use the results of chunks, complex sentence structure and coherence in discourse. Third, it is that the candidates can reverse the habit of its single-mode writing pattern, for example, reciting some key patterns or applying canned grammatical and stylistic rules. They can really improve the ability of writing or the difficulties they meet by writing. Thus, the competence of vocabulary, phrases, sentence patterns and discourse have been improved, including using of grammatical structure. It is shown in the study that multiple replacement strategy in the NMET writing is well worth using, and the results can improve the English writing practice actually. it is hoped that teachers can apply this strategy to guide teaching in writing, in order to help to break the traditional mode of writing. As a result, the students can do English writings creatively in this way and eventually it helps to get writing promoted.
