A Study Of Approaches And Patterns Of Minnan Cultural Inheritance Innovation

Today, it is commonly accepted that inspiration and attractiveness of culture value should be emphasized in terms of leading cultural innovation and development. As the representative of special regional culture in China, Minnan culture has been studied by some scholars. However, there has been not a thorough study on Five Ancestors Boxing, one of the typical symbols of Minnan culture. Therefore, a further discussion needs to be made on the innovation of its inheritance and development. Parties concerned (such as some government departments, schools and officials) are now tasked with taking advantage of innovation of Five Ancestors Boxing reasonably, actively and effectively, to embody and promote the outstanding Minnan culture. For the methods, this study has adopted literature review, analogy, interview, questionnaire survey and so forth. As to the context, the study firstly gives an overview of Minnan culture and Five Ancestors Boxing, points out the significance of this research on innovation of Minnan cultural inheritance, and further analyzes advantages and values of changing Five Ancestors Boxing into body building exercise in Quanzhou. Five Ancestors Boxing is Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage. This study secondly provides a survey on popularizing this adapted body building exercise on campus. After a comprehensive and systematic analysis of current exercise changing patterns of Five Ancestors Boxing, this thesis presents some new approaches and patterns for Minnan cultural inheritance innovation, which is believed to lay theoretical and practical foundation for the innovation and development of Minnan culture.
