As the second largest minority in China, the Hui nationality has been always keeping benign interaction with all previous dynasties regime during its formation and development process. So, there is practical significance to learn for investigating the national identity of Hui nationality.Republican period is when national conscious and culture conscious of Hui nationality gradually awake and when national identity constantly strength. On the basis of introduce Hebei Hui ethnic origin and analysis the national identity of Hui nationality, this paper deeply investigated the national identity of Hui nationality in Hebei province in terms of culture identity and patriotism. Although patriotism is not equal to national identity, it is much stronger and higher level expression of national identity. In addition, in the process of the Hui national identity formation, in addition to the back to the cell’s own initiative adjustment, and national policy. The last chapter analyses the Kuomintang and the Communist Party national policy for the construction of national identity of Hui nationality.Through the analysis, we assume that Hui community in our country’s national identity,of ancient and hebei province during the period of the republic of China for Hui’s national identity is the change of past in the new era of national identity and sublimation.
