Non-continuous text appears in our daily lives with increasing frequency. As the purpose of education is to enable students to learn to live, students need to master the ability to read non-continuous text. However, existing studies show that students in non-continuous text reading ability to be improved. This is also the current problems encountered in teaching.For teachers, how to take effective teaching strategies to help students improve their reading ability of non-continuous text? Whether to provide appropriate guidance in the reading process will bring some influence? Currently, less empirical studies on the non-continuous text in China. Of course, continuous text can’t be ignored. So, what impact will the reading guidance make on different kinds of texts reading under the network environment? Whether the non-continuous text complexity will become one of the factors that affect it? In this study,we will investigate the effect of non-continuous text complexity and reading guidance on reading through two experiments.The first experiment will investigate the different reading effects between continuous and non-continuous text at two different reading conditions in network environment. The second experiment will focuses on the different reading effects in different non-continuous text complexities under the reading guidance of different forms in network environment. The basic conclusion is that:(1) In network environment, non-continuous text is easier to analyze and compare, so its reading effects are better than continuous text.(2) Reading guidance will facilitate the process of reading and improve the reading results, regardless of the different text forms.(3) Non-continuous text complexity is indeed an important factor in the impact of non-continuous text reading, low complexity of the non-continuous text reading effect is much better than the high complexity of the non-continuous text.(4) Reading guidance is an active role in promoting the non-continuous text reading, and it’s nothing to do with the forms of guidance. The effect is better than no reading guidance, as long as there reading guidance. |
