With Yan’an City residents rising incomes, on fitness requirements also will improve, whether it is time residents to participate in sports activities, the number or activity of space, equipment, have been greatly improved and improved.In this paper, the development of mass sports in Yan’an City, the demand for social sports instructors for the study, the use of literature, questionnaire, interview, mathematical statistics and logical analysis method and other methods, by random Yan’an City 500 public participation in mass sports of time, frequency, the project was to guide the situation and organization of a sample survey, and were consolidated summary, found that although the public to participate in mass sports activities optimistic, quantity and quality of social sports instructors has increased significantly, to achieve the "By 2010, the number of city social sports instructors to 1000 people," the goal of Yan’an Municipal Sports Bureau, but the rate of increase of social sports instructors to keep up with the pace of development of mass sports, is still in a relatively backward stage, people still social sports instructors have a great demand. Specific results are as follows:(1)1362 Yan’an City, the existing social sports instructor, physical education instruction per capita ratio of 1: 1985, and the "Shaanxi Province" Twelfth Five-Year "plan" per thousand and strive to achieve the goal of a social sports instructors vary considerably away.(2)The proportion of male social sports instructors relatively large women, surveyed the crowd of mass sports in the proportion of women slightly more than men.
