Statistics is increasing important in modern society. With the rapid development of society, statistical knowledge has become the necessary knowledge that people should know. In China’s education reform, statistical knowledge is gradually being taken seriously, making statistical course change from elective course into compulsory course. Moreover, in the course outline, a detailed knowledge of statistics requirements has been done, and statistics also accounted for a relatively large value in recent College Entrance Examination. In the overseas, statistics also got much attention. In the late 20 th century, one of the ten standard curriculum standards developed by the United States will be "data analysis, statistics and probability," included teaching, and Australia also proposed data processing and statistical inference views. However, throughout high school teaching and research in the past, scholars study of statistical concepts and methods is not a lot, and since the pressure from College Entrance Examination and teacher explain this part of knowledge is not enough, students could not obtain the knowledge very well.From my own point and combined SOLO Classification Theory, I conducted a survey to 325 high school students from High School of Shijiazhuang, which is following four aspects below. Firstly, the degree of acquirement of sample and total of students. Secondly, the understanding of representative sample. Thirdly, sampling method and application in daily life. Lastly, the degree of understanding of using sample to estimate total. The research shows that students could not understand infinite population and sample very well and example in textbook as well. In the examination, only 6.79% of students reached multi level structure. 91.98% of the students in a single structure level, 1.23% of the students in the former structure level. In aspects of systematic sampling, understanding of students only limited to textbooks and the application also is not enough, The 4 questions in the questionnaire is mainly to investigate students systematic sampling step, in all the surveyed students,30.86% of students insist that data should be arranged in order before systematic sampling.and understanding of estimation of the sample size is also not enough. In the investigation of all the students, 12.35% of the students think, the sample size is large enough, the average of the sample average is, in the former structure level, 16.05% of students have certain knowledge of sample extremes.The corresponding conclusions based on the research of the above problems, and from teaching materials, teachers and students from two aspects, Suggestions are given, and in order to be able to help teachers’ good teaching, the author of this four parts for the interpretation of the relevant knowledge.
