Experimental exercises are a kind of exercises which are to solve the problems in practice and at the same time they also acquire the combination of chemical knowledge and experimental skills.Chemical experiment exercises are composed of one or more chemical knowledge, most of which are the selected examples drawn from textbooks and actual production or everyday life. It can not only make students understand chemistry discipline concepts, master the establishment of the theory and assumptions, and test basic chemical theories, but also improve students’ ability to solve the problems in middle school chemistry experiments with the help of the existing knowledge and skills,developing the minds of students.On the basis of combing the relevant research literature, the research object of this paper is senior three students. First of all, through the self-made test, the researcher tests the typical errors in answering chemical experiment exercises of senior three students. And the common errors are divided into two types: errors in short of knowledge and errors in short of skills. And on this basis,the researcher prepared the questionnaire "The present situation of the solution to chemical experiment exercises of senior three students" in order to investigate influential factors in answering chemical experiment exercises. The following is survey results:(1) skills shortage is the main reason of the mistakes when they solve chemical experiment exercises.(2) non-intelligence factors affect their solution of chemical experiment exercises in a certain extent.(3) the structure, novelty and forms of the questions influence senior students’ solution of the experimental problems seriously.(4)the existing chemical knowledge and structure also affect their answers.(5) the students’ ability of representation and organization is not high, influencing them to solve the experimental problems.(6)the students lack innovative thinking, and inertia of thinking affects students in answering comprehensive experimental problems to a great extent.(7) students of different grades and different genders have certain differences in the solution of chemical experiment exercises.Finally, on the basis of these factors, the researcher puts forward some teaching suggestions to improve students’ ability to solve chemical experiment exercises:(1) cultivate students’ interest in learning chemistry experiment.(2) improve the experiment teaching methods, and pay more attention to exploring experiment teaching.(3) strengthen the horizontal and vertical connection of chemical knowledge, helping students to establish a stable structure of chemical experimentKnowledge.(4) pay attention to cultivating students’ scientific thinking mode in solving problems.(5) pay attention to create a relaxed, harmonious, democratic and cooperative experimental classroom atmosphere to improve students’ ability of problem solving, especially the ability of solving chemical experiment problems independently.
