Ways of vocabulary presentation in English text-books refer to the means to show the target vocabulary for learners, by arousing visual attentions to help learners build a cognition setting. It is very important for foreign language learners, especially for primary school students. Yet there have been few discussions about ways of vocabulary presentation. This thesis aims to arouse more experts’attention to the importance of this issue, selecting two kinds of primary English text-books published by People Education Press as tasks, using quantitative and qualitative methods, by presenting their macroscopic and microcosmic characteristics with some theories and practical experiences to compare the similarities and differences, and then give some ideas.The paper includes five chapters. The first three chapters lay the theoretical and practical foundation for the whole essay, and last three chapters mainly describe the characteristics of ways of vocabulary presentation in the two text-books, and then according to the investigative information analyze the conclusions, and then give relative suggestions.
