PCK was first proposed by Shulman, used to measure teachers’ professional standards. This paper, with reference to the research framework of Grossman, Schoenfeld and Lee (2005),combined with NOS (the nature of Science) content, divides PCK into six aspects, including subject matter knowledge, teaching knowledge, student understanding of content knowledge, knowledge of teaching strategies, knowledge of feedback effect, knowledge of the content organization, and teachers’ view of NOS belong to subject matter knowledge, how to help students understand the nature of science belongs to the student understanding of content knowledge.This paper selects a novice high school biology teacher and an experienced high school teacher as the object of study, using interview, classroom observation, concept maps, questionnaires and other methods, combined with the content of "The source of energy -- The Light and The Photosynthesis" from senior biology by People Education Press,to analyze the two teachers presenting PCK. The results are as follows:① On purpose of the teaching knowledge, the novice teacher thinks learning biology is to practice the quality education, teachers dominate in the learning process; the experienced teacher thinks learning biology is to learn to observe, learn to analyze, teachers play the role of guiding, inspired in the process of learning.②On purpose of the subject matter knowledge, the knowledge of teaching contents of the novice teacher and the experienced teacher are mainly from textbooks, the experienced will expand the content of the subject, adding his own understanding, and will pay attention to the connection between the different knowledge; but the experienced has not form some correct view for some of the aspects of the NOS.③ On purpose of the student understanding of content knowledge, the novice teacher thinks understanding the knowledge is training, mechanical memory and fails to judge in time the students’ situation about understanding; compared to the novice teacher, the experienced one can predict students’ misunderstanding, knows how to help students to eliminate misunderstanding; but sometimes the experienced one can not help student understand NOS due to his view of NOS is not correct.④ On purpose of the knowledge of the content organization, compared to the novice one, the experienced teacher is more flexible, has a greater degree of vertical integration grasp knowledge.⑤ On purpose of the knowledge of teaching strategy, the novice and the experienced are all very emphasis on the application of blackboard writing, but in stimulate students’ motivation, choose and use teaching strategies, they all shows significant difference, the experienced can choose teaching strategies more effectively.⑥ On purpose of the knowledge of feedback effect, the experienced pay more attention to guide student how to understand, the novice is favored to give response directly.The results showed that, the novice teacher and the experienced teacher both have their own advantages and disadvantages, should learn from each other and make more communication. Suggest that when novice high school biology teachers instruct in photosynthesis related content, should focus on the students’ understanding in the photosynthesis process part, should pay attention to contact with previously learned knowledge, so can makes a more complete knowledge system. Advise the novice teachers to develop PCK in practice, try to carry on the education research, communicate with good teachers more. Suggestions for experienced teachers is to participate in the View of NOS training course.
