Language knowledge is composed of three major items:phonetics, grammar and vocabulary. Vocabulary memory is crucial to foreign language learners. Now in some English classes of middle school, some teachers simply list some key words and explain their meanings. General vocabulary memory methods are few to present to the students. Then vocabulary teaching is often composed of isolated words. Isolated words are not conducive to memory. Since students do not have enough time to learn vocabulary in the classroom, the vocabulary learning after class is especially important. There are many English vocabulary books in the market, such as etyma and affix method, reading method, the story series method, image memory method and semantic method, and classification method. Each of these methods has its own advantages and disadvantages.English is a kind of beautiful language with rhythm and rhyme. Each word has its own pronunciation and meaning and we can put some vocabularies which have same part of pronunciation together to promote students’memory. The above method is called phonology repetition method. In the process of the vocabulary learning, making use of phonology repetition means joining the pronunciation input and basing on the rhythm, alliteration, rhyme, then the words are arranged into groups with rhyming words block. The above method can build students’phonological lexical network construction, stimulating interest of students’ vocabulary memory and expanding the vocabulary storage capacity. Therefore, it is necessary to study the influence of phonological repetition on the memory of vocabulary. The study is based on phonological repetition method such as alliteration, assonance, and consonance, reclassifying the vocabularies of college entrance examination and a new vocabulary sheet is issued to the Senior Grade Two students from L School to use. Then the author continued to get the students’opinions by the questionnaire, and analyze statistics of new vocabulary sheet and explore the vocabulary memory effect. The questionnaire data analysis shows that the majority of students who participated in the survey have certain contact and understanding to phonology repetition, but few use it to help their vocabulary memory. Meanwhile, students show interest in phonological repetition method and are willing to use phonological repetition method to enhance their vocabulary memory. As for the new vocabulary sheet, most students were interested in it and more than half want to continue using it. The new vocabulary sheet also needs to be improved to help students’ memory better according to final research effect and suggestion. Therefore, the author believes that the phonological repetition method is a kind of good method and deserves using, but the arrangement of words is not perfect, still needs to improve for better use in the future. The author thinks that major improvement focuses on not only phonological repetition, but also meaning of vocabularies, to weave the vocabularies which have same phonology and closed meaning together. Through the improvement, the author may receive a higher degree of acceptance of the new vocabulary sheet.
